The RiNo Block Party during the AIA National Convention was hosted at OZ Architecture on Thursday night. The party was a success bringing together architects, students and staff from all over the United States.
The party included a tour of the newly expanded OZ office, a walking tour around the RiNo Arts District to see some historical and new buildings (residential and commercial) in the neighborhood, and a BBQ. The tour focused on the transitional development of the River North (RiNo) neighborhood from an upper class residential neighborhood to a warehouse district, now an area being revitalized as a center for Denver’s creative class.
The tours were led by OZ Architecture’s Senior Associate Dan Miller and RiNo Art District’s Founder Tracy Weil. BBQ, games, music, and drinks kept the party goers entertained until 9pm.
