First Bell is at 8:55 am!

On August 19th Denver Public Schools, OZ Architecture and many happy teachers and students celebrated the Grand Reopening of Escuela Valdez, a dual language elementary school. After completing the master plan at the beginning of 2012, OZ was selected in 2013 to design and complete needed renovations to the school. The renovation included the relocation of the main entrance, open plan classrooms, ADA compliance, several meetings with the community and the temporary relocation of classes during construction. Working on this multi-lingual facility gave the folks at OZ the opportunity to revisit those Spanish classes we all took back in high school, as all of the community presentations needed to be displayed in both English and Spanish.
