OZ Gives with Denver Digs Trees

On a cold and snowy day in April, volunteers from OZ Architecture celebrated Earth Day and supported The Park People and their Denver Digs Trees initiative.

The Park People cultivate greener communities in Denver by enhancing and preserving open and recreational spaces throughout the city. Since 1991, their Denver Digs Trees program has focused on distributing trees in under-canopied neighborhoods. They offer climate specific species of trees as well as care training to community residents.

This year, OZ Architecture was a corporate sponsor of the now widely known event. We had 15 OZ volunteers plant 38 trees around northern and southern urban neighborhoods.  With our help, over 1,400 trees were planted and 170 of those were planted by volunteer diggers like our own. Thank you to all of our participating volunteers for braving the unpredictable Colorado spring weather, getting their hands dirty, and beautifying our neighborhoods for years to come.
