Mayor Hancock Reappoints OZ Principal Jim Bershof to Denver’s Planning Board

We are pleased to learn that Mayor Hancock has reappointed OZ Principal, Jim Bershof, to Denver’s Planning Board for a second three-year term. Jim has an extensive history serving the city of Denver including eight years on the Landmark Preservation Commission, and three previous years on Denver’s Planning Board. Within this timeline, Jim has been appointed both by current Mayor, Michael Hancock, and former Mayor, current Governor, John Hickenlooper.

On the Landmark Preservation Commission, Jim helped on designations of historic structures and design review in Denver’s historic districts. In his time on the Planning Board Jim has helped assess the city’s zoning regulations and planning policies.

As one of the top growing cities in the U.S., Denver’s Planning Board is essential to keeping balance with the city’s consistent growth. He is honored to be a part of this prestigious panel and has enjoyed helping guide our city through the many recent changes. With this additional term, Jim will have a total of six years serving on the city’s Planning Board.
