Another mixed-use OZ project, The York on City Park, is underway at 17th and York edging on City Park and just east of the retail and restaurant hotbed of 17th Avenue.
As Denver continues to grow, this five-story residential building will provide much-needed housing close to downtown and nestled within the sought-after City Park neighborhood. The York will offer 212 residential units within 213,600 square feet, 252 covered parking spots, two courtyards, a pool deck, a ground floor coffee shop and common area, and a large fitness center that overlooks the pool deck.
Surrounded by a plethora of single unit and family homes in east Denver, the design of The York includes setbacks that both work as landing space for the two courtyards and help to break up the block-long structure. Facing City Park, a chamfered corner at 17th brings character to the building topped with an analog clock and patterned brick work as a nod to the architectural past of the neighborhood. Many units face the park and offer residents both a great view and a short walk to all the outdoor activities hosted at City Park.
The York is a stand out project being one of the very few significant multi-story developments in the City Park area. With easy access to downtown, to the active strip of 17th, and to the charm of City Park, The York is a welcomed, and unique addition to Denver’s thriving residential market.
