This June, Henley, a new modern American brasserie, celebrates its grand opening in the heart of Midtown Nashville. The menu, developed by James Beard award-winning chef, RJ Cooper, is inventive yet approachable and consists of communal plates inspired by regional American cooking with a whiskey-centric bar.
The name, Henley, pays homage to the popular and symbolically rebellious work shirt of the early 1900’s. Using that progressive spirit as a design driver, the OZ design team wove hand-crafted components and dynamic details into the decor and overall dining experience. The space transitions from clean and refined to dark and masculine as guests travel to the back using classic materials of marble, wood, and leather to create a texturally layered environment. From the menu design and place settings to the uniforms and take away items, every aspect of Henley is an expressive part of the experience.
