Denver Public Schools purchased the existing Lutheran High School in southwest Denver with plans to locate the first prep high school program for the charter school and a middle school. The two schools¬† could share some spaces, but each school required its own entrance, administration suite, and core classroom space.¬† After completion of a master plan for the site, the final design included an addition to the existing building which was renovated extensively. The completed project houses SMART Academy, STRIVE’s new high school program, and Westwood Middle School with a capacity of 360 students.
