Design for the new newsroom of The Denver Post involved close collaboration with the management team to both reflect the Post’s vision and respond to the rapid pace of change in the 24/7 news business.  The floor plan is comprised primarily of open office areas with private offices located in the interior to maximize natural light and circulation patterns for busy staff.  A library, a large conference room, a “Think Circle” gathering area, and several TV studios are centers of constant activity throughout the day.  Informal collaborative spaces and smaller, more private work areas are shared by the staff for both active information sharing and quieter writing tasks.
