Yesterday, over 25 people from OZ participated in Bike to Work Day 2013 by riding their bikes to the office. Some people biking in to the downtown office from as far as Boulder, Aurora, South Denver, Westminster, and Thornton.
Bike to work day is a national event held in June to promotes the bicycle as an option for commuting to work. Biker’s enjoyed free breakfast and water stations set up all over the Denver / Boulder area during the morning commute to help fuel them for their day. The entire month of June is Bike Month in Colorado, and all of OZ has been participating in the celebration. OZ hosted a bicycle maintenance class for beginners and experts where members of the staff taught others how to change a flat tire, clean a chain, and repair worn brake pads. OZ also served breakfast twice during the month of June to those who biked in to the office.
