Reinvention for Downtown Fort Collins


Envisioned as a precedent setting project, Max Flats sets the tone for future development and the revitalization of the Mason St. corridor in Ft. Collins. It represents a valuable opportunity for the reinvention of the area by bringing new vitality to downtown. The 64 unit residential/mixed-use project is strategically situated along the bus rapid transit system (BRT), and helps foster multi-modal connectivity to campus activities and downtown retail development along the commercial corridor. As the first project to meet the city’s renewal goals, this unique building is defined by several notable architectural features:  a bold color scheme, exposed steel structural canopies, rich brick and stone facades, sustainable green walls and exterior patios for informal meetings and gathering spaces.
