OZ’s Colorado Springs office was founded in 2005, and is lead by veteran architect and nine-year OZ employee, Tom Hoover. Tom, a registered architect in Colorado, received his degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, is a LEED Green Associate, participated in Great Streets Colorado Springs, and enjoys participation in the Colorado Springs Downtown Partnership. Weekends Tom enjoys mountain biking the fabulous trails of western Colorado Springs, skiing all that Summit County has to offer, and dedicates one week a year to explore different beaches and surf of Southern California with his Son Parker and wife MJ.
Tom couldn’t be more proud than to represent OZ in the second most populated city in Colorado. Projects that enhance the community or give back to its population are a Colorado Springs office studio focus & include endeavors such as Phases I & II of the Broadmoor Brownstones; & the Broadmoor Golf Cottages at Broadmoor Hotel. Tom and the Colorado Springs office worked closely with the Colorado College Athletic Department on a fast-track, three-phased, design-build project. Recently completed, the Adam F. Press Fitness Center | El Pomar Sports Center included renovation and addition work, transforming a dated athletic building into a state-of-the-art campus jewel to enhance & enrich the college athletic experience for the students for many years to come .
