This morning Colorado’s 9 News featured the progress of the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, OZ’s first performing arts building design in Silverthorne, Colorado. As the project quickly approaches completion, excitement and anticipation continue to build throughout the community. SPAC represents a shared vision between The Town of Silverthorne and The Lake Dillon Theater Company and is the first of many projects intended to build a stronger cultural identity for the Summit County region.
The Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, at 15,730 square feet, will be Colorado’s largest new construction theater in the state of Colorado. Through collaboration with the Lake Dillon Theater Company, OZ designed the space with their ideal performance programming in mind. SPAC will house multiple theaters, each of varying sizes suitable for different performance styles. The facilities will also include arts education labs, a modernized orchestral pit, rehearsal space, administrative offices, and plenty of room for in-house costume and set production.
