The first LEED certified hospital in the U.S., Boulder Community’s Foothills campus is designed to meet the health needs of women and children. Enclosing a 3-sided courtyard featuring gardens and welcoming outdoor seating and facing spectacular views of Colorado’s Front Range, the building is designed to preserve open space and heighten awareness of the natural surroundings. The hospital houses an ER, surgery, neo-natal intensive care and pediatrics. An attached outpatient services building houses physician offices and a full lab. With an eye to the future, development is limited to one corner of the site with the rest of the land deeded to open space.
