Principal Steve Brooks to Speak at ULI Smart Cities Event

On Thursday, December 6, Urban Land Institute Colorado will host Smart Cities Global & Local: A Brighter Future for Land Use.

The event will explore new developments in Colorado real estate, construction, and land use with insight on the latest transportation, retail and net-zero energy endeavors in our state and beyond. Panelists will explore how technology infrastructure is influencing city planning, and what we can expect from global development in the future.

Steve Brooks will share his vision for the future of smart cities. Additionally, he’ll discuss the expertise and best practices he gleaned from working on the plan for Konza Technopolis, a Kenya-based smart city designed to integrate services related to infrastructure, community access, city planning and local commerce through integrated urban information and communication technology.

The program will include a tour of Panasonic’s Smart City facility at Pena Station Next before commencing the ever-popular end-of-year holiday celebration.
