Crescent Fort Worth is a luxury mixed-use development in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District, a vibrant and historic area that is already home to icons like the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. OZ master planned the two-block development for Crescent Real Estate LLC, including this office building as well as an OZ designed 200-room luxury hotel.
OZ was tasked with designing the commercial office component to provide Class A office space above retail, restaurant, and public plaza spaces on the ground level. The building’s design reflects the architecture of the surrounding buildings in scale, proportion, form, and patterning. The lower form is a solid dark metal panel with large, punched openings, contrasted by an upper patterned glass form. This light glass element is found throughout levels 5-8 and is highlighted by corner balconies and a cantilevered roof element. OZ also incorporated a mix of paving and landscaping with a covered paseo to lead into the primary entrance of the office building – a large double-height lobby space accentuated by local art, a structural glazing system and an illuminated wood portal. With an emphasis on occupant wellness, the project incorporates ample daylighting, enhanced air quality through mechanical systems with UV and MERV filters, Nano Septic touchless technology and will be USGBC LEED certified.
