OZ Announces New Promotions

OZ Architecture is pleased to announce the promotion of seven outstanding employees to titles of principal and associate principal.

These individuals have been recognized for their excellent work and essential contributions to the firm’s growth and reputation for design excellence around the world. They represent a wide variety of practice areas and projects, and exemplify OZ’s up-and-coming leadership.

The newest principals include Amanda Johnson, Mairi Mashburn and Kevin Schaffer:

Amanda Johnson joined OZ in 2006 and applies her creative vision to all her projects, which span student housing, corporate office and tenant fit-out, mixed-use and commercial work. She brings a passionate, collaborative approach to her work.

Mairi Mashburn has excelled at OZ since 1995, and her portfolio of work experience includes hospitality and resort and mixed-use residential projects. Mairi serves on OZ’s internal training committee where she organizes monthly discussions for OZ staff to contribute, present and learn.

Kevin Schaffer has been an asset to the firm since 2003. He brings is creativity and knowledge to many high-profile projects covering areas such as corporate office, energy, technology, and adaptive re-use.

Recent promotions to associate principal include Darcey Vertuca, Brian Lopez, Chris Vandall and Nate Jenkins:

Darcey Vertuca’s experience as a project manager at OZ spans over 12 years and her diverse portfolio includes projects in retail, hospitality, restaurant, and international resorts.

Brian Lopez has worked at OZ for more than 14 years, where he focuses on revitalizing urban living in Colorado cities and bringing visions for mixed-use developments to life.

Chris Vandall’s 13 years at OZ have allowed his creativity and attention to detail to flourish while integrating his passion for sustainability and community service into many OZ projects and firm management.

During his nearly six years at OZ, Nate Jenkins has led the design work on a variety of project types including multifamily, commercial office and mixed-use developments around the country.
