There are few locations like the Four Seasons in Vail, Colo. Considered one of the world’s renowned resort properties, the luxury hotel is known for its legendary setting in Vail Village and its world-class service, welcoming international visitors and locals alike.
In order to remain one of the Rockies’ premier destinations, Four Seasons, which opened in 2010, is planning a significant renovation beginning Spring 2019. OZ Architecture’s resort and hospitality design team of Kate Adams and Rebecca Stone will lead the architectural components in collaboration with several interior and exterior firms.
The renovations will include:
- Refreshed and remodeled hotel guest rooms, suites and corridors
- Conversion and remodel of twelve private residences
- Transforming Flame Restaurant into a new concept which will explore unique flavors and cuisines in a redesigned space
- Refreshed meeting space
- Redesigned lobby and check-in
- New luxury retail experience
OZ was chosen because of its experience with world-class brands like Four Seasons, which have exacting needs for the design as it relates to the guest experience. OZ’s leadership in hotel renovation and ability to refresh properties for current, discerning guests is a critical skill. OZ has experience working with both the Town of Vail and working on phased hotel renovations, both of which require precise planning to ensure key guest areas, such as the front desk and the village access, is seamless and convenient during the construction.
“Four Seasons Vail draws visitors from all over the world so ensuring this property has a modern, stylish appeal is critical for it to remain a top destination,” said Rebecca Stone, managing principal, who specializes in resort areas. “Working with several interior design partners, we intend to bring new design ideas that complement the stunning setting while delivering a sophisticated atmosphere.”
The tailored mountain modern design will incorporate clean, contemporary lines, paired with organic textures and colors, harmonizing with Vail’s breathtaking mountain landscape.
