CLT Project Platte Fifteen Tops Out in Denver

Platte Fifteen has garnered a good deal of press attention lately, and for good reason. As Denver’s first building created with cross-laminated timber (CLT), this sustainable construction project at 2373 15^th Street will bring a unique new office and retail space to the historic neighborhood.

Reporter Kelcey McClurg covered the project in a recent “Crane Watch” section of the Denver Business Journal, citing OZ Architecture’s thoughtful and progressive design. The mass timber construction lends both stability and style, as well as a natural warmth and modern appearance.

The Crescent Real Estate development celebrated the topping today, May 29th, achieving an exciting milestone in the construction process. As the brick work and floor-to-floor glazing starts to go up, the protective plastic will come down to reveal the CLT and wood structure above the second floor up to the roof.

For those in Denver, this first week in June will likely be an ideal time to walk by for a view of the project’s progress and to get a peek of the thoughtful and attractive design aesthetics inside and out. Platte Fifteen is scheduled to be completed in October 2019.
