OZ Architecture’s Jen Fumuso Discusses Family-Friendly Culture

May 21, 2018

Architecture can be a demanding career, and many working professionals struggle to find their ideal balance between work and family life. Along those lines, AIA Colorado recently began running a series of articles all about family. OZ Architect Jen Fumuso recently contributed a piece on Creating a Family-Friendly Workplace Culture, in which she describes how she collaborated with OZ Architecture to enhance the company’s new parent policies.

“The leadership at OZ has a large percentage of women/moms who have been paving the way and led by example with five-month-long maternity leaves and flex time upon return to work—even 20 years ago,” Jen writes.

By working closely with OZ leadership and proactively speaking up for the flexibility she hoped for in her career, Jen has helped to build upon OZ Architecture’s existing policies to ensure a progressive, family-friendly culture of staff support and work/life balance.

We’re happy to say that this type of employee collaboration and creativity is just one of the ways OZ continues to provide an award-winning workplace culture.
