Giving back to our community has always been a strong value for OZ Architecture. We design buildings and communities everyday, but also realize that we have a responsibility beyond the design to the vitality of these communities. How this happens differs for each one of us, but the combined efforts makes for a stronger community. At the end of 2018 with our Adopt-A-Family efforts, we took the opportunity to reflect on why each one of us gives our time, services, goods, or funds. At this event, we also thought about the accomplishments of OZ, as a whole and as individuals.
In 2018 as a company, we continued our focus on organizations that impact the environment, humanity, and developing the creative minds of the future. We gave back through regular service events and event sponsorships with organizations with whom we have developed a partnering relationship, like Denver Architecture Foundation, Green Mountain High School, Habitat for Humanity, and The Park People. The network of giving at OZ is not only strong within our community but also around the world. In fact, our employees donate hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars each year to organizations globally. It’s a combined effort with tremendous impact which we are proud to share among our team, our clients and our community.
In 2019, we would like to challenge our consultant and client partners to reflect on why they give and how. For those interested, we’d love you to join in our efforts to support our communities. If you are interested in discussing more or need additional inspiration, please connect with the OZ Gives Steering Committee at ozgives@ozarch.com.
