Located in the heart of the UCCS campus, the Anschutz Engineering Center is foundational to the campus’ nascent aerospace engineering program. It comprises a 20,000 sf lab building housing teaching and research spaces and a detached 3,000 sf shop building dedicated to prototyping and fabrication. The building was carefully sited to preserve a sacred Native American “Tree of Peace” while also managing existing drainage patterns and presenting an appropriate face to the primary campus circulation spine.
