Cherry Creek School District Innovation Projects

OZ is one of four architects hired to remodel 53 of the District’s elementary and middle schools with the intent to support innovation in educational instruction. OZ worked with Site Advisory Teams and teachers from each school to develop a strategy and corresponding design for how a remodel or small design ‘intervention’ will help spark a change from older instructional models to current and future models. To help them through this enormous process, OZ developed a highly successful visioning process to help the group understand what Innovation means to them and their school. This process of listening and moderating not only helped establish goals and structure for the group, the visioning process also informed the design and ensures each ‘intervention’ is unique to the group’s vision, culture, and needs.
