Serving as a central hub for aging adults, the Highlands Ranch Senior Center will offer services and programs for seniors and their families and integrates a satellite office for Douglas County Health & Human Services. As a result of collaborative planning by Highlands Ranch Metro District, Douglas County, and the community, the center arose from a 2017 feasibility study, influencing its location and design based on senior population needs. The state-of-the-art facility features a health club, activity rooms, and a spacious event space. The facility will also feature on-site admin and office space for social services, providing information, resources, and referrals for community members. Designed to seamlessly blend with the community, it incorporates stone, wood accents, and pitched roofs, emphasizing comfort and familiarity while integrating modern construction materials and abundant natural light to create a serene setting for seniors to access vital services.
