NSA Ice Core Facility

The National Science Foundation's Ice Core Facility in Lakewood, CO, is managed by the GSA and the USGS. The facility protects and preserves ice core samples from Greenland, Antarctica, and North America. This is done by combining highly specialized cold-storage architecture, advanced building envelope design, and resilient systems infrastructure operating at -30°F.
