The Loading Dock

The Loading Dock, Boulder’s first fully cross-laminated timber (CLT) building, is one of only a few buildings nationwide that use CLT in its walls, floors, roof, and structure. This innovative office space transforms the original building with a wood-planked elevated boardwalk that connects the outdoors to the workplace. CLT not only adds strength and a natural aesthetic but also reduces waste and benefits the environment. The design includes photovoltaic roof panels and a green screen on the balcony railing, providing shade to the outdoor deck. The Loading Dock beautifully merges sustainability with modern office design in a pedestrian-friendly setting.
